Breakfast at The Magazine

After I left stables the other day, I walked up Kensington Gardens and

decided to pay The Magazine a visit. I don’t know what impressed me more, the setting or the food. I arrived on time to order something from their breakfast menu – something relatively simple – Poached Clarence court eggs, bacon and Hollandaise served on grilled rustic Campaillou bread (pictured below) – but cooked to perfection, and with style. The service was good although I sensed a slight annoyance from the first waiter, the moment I asked if I could still order breakfast (15 minutes before they switched over to the lunch menu). But the charm of the place and the professionalism of the other waiters who attended to me made me forget all about it. You will love the place – it looks stunning, clean white cuts all over, with a splash of lime. Very elegant design. Affordable prices too, for a restaurant near Hyde Park. I can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu.
