One thing I absolutely love about this time of the year is using my imagination to transform our living space into the perfect festive setting. I usually do this indoors with our Christmas decorations, our tree and all the other festive touches that put us all in the mood for Christmas. This year however, I decided to do something different by creating a Christmas enchanted garden – an adventure that my children, especially my 2-year old daughter, would remember for a long time.
No matter the size of your garden, there are many different ways to encourage your children’s curiosity and sense of adventure. From creating a mini winter wonderland, to turning your outdoor space into a small campsite, you’ll find that a little bit of imagination can go a very long way. So get into the spirit and dress for the occasion – we are wearing Barbour’sgorgeous new Father Christmas collection, which is inspired by Raymond Brigg’s Father Christmas, available here.
My relationship with clothes changed the moment I became pregnant for the first time. I started to view clothes as something to feel comfortable in, nothing more, nothing less. Being a breastfeeding mum kinda pushes you to seek comfort above all other things.
I was on Instagram the other day and came across a post that stood out to me, not just for the message it conveyed, but for the way the words made me feel and the memories they brought back. The post (pictured below) contained a tweet from a lady I had never heard of before, a cultural critic and editor, Harvard graduate and feminist, by the name of Kimberly Nicole Foster.
I’m currently preparing for our family holiday (6 more sleeps!) but before I go, I really wanted to tell you about an event I attended not too long ago. It was hosted by the lovely Catherine, one of Arbonne’s independent consultants, in a beautiful location near my house.
Arbonne is a brand I had never heard of before, but I’m glad I attended the workshop. It was an afternoon of discovery, skin care and cosmetics chit chat, meeting new people and of course a great occasion to find out more about the brand and all its products – and they do sell quite a few things.
