Vanilla and lemon cake ~ Recipe

This is the one cake I love making here at home, and that everyone loves. It’s a simple, quick recipe that requires a small amount of ingredients… Follow my 10-step recipe and if you ever try this at home, come back and comment below – I’d love to know how you go on!

 

 

Ingredients:

300g flour | 300g sugar | 4 eggs | 150ml milk | 150ml oil

2 teaspoons baking powder | 1 lemon | Vanilla essence

How to make it:

Before you start, pre-heat your oven to 160°.

  1. Mix the eggs and the sugar.

Tip: Using an electric hand mixer is better to ensure the batter is lump free.

2. Pour in the milk…

3. And the oil.

4. Then mix thoroughly.

5. Add some vanilla essence (about a tablespoon).

6. Add the juice from one lemon.

7. Add the baking powder.

8. Then the flour.

9. Continue to mix…

…Making sure all lumps disappear.

10. Grease a medium-sized baking tin and pour the batter gently into the tin, then in the oven for 45 minutes at 160°.
