I’ve been making a few changes to my home, every room has had something added or replaced – from cushion covers to new wall art… I’m trying to make our living space as beautiful as I possibly can, in a non expensive way. Here is a quick update on my living room, nothing major, just a few new touches. I tried to link as many items as possible.
A round coffee table is a lot safer for small children. This coffee table is from Ebay, believe it or not. Since our daughter was born we’re having to re-think some of our furniture, in addition to baby proofing the house in the traditional sense.
I absolutely love my Desenio prints. They are simple, but fit perfectly with the theme of our living room. I bought these when we first moved in – I’m not sure they’re still available on the site but visit Desenio for more exquisite prints, posters and wall art inspo.
I’ve developed a bit of an obsession with navy. These cushion covers are from Ebay. I love the dark nautical feel they gives my living room. I was very keen to implement a touch of both modern and traditional when I designed my living room, and I think they do the job perfectly.
My floor lamps (I have two of the same) are from Dunelm, and from a past collection.
More navy cushion covers, also from Ebay.
You won’t believe how affordable this stunning coffee table is! Click here to find out. My ornaments and candles are from Wilko.
You won’t see these properly on the above photos but I also bought new light blue sheer curtains from Homesense. We needed a new set of curtains that weren’t as see-through as the ones we used to have. I found these in Homesense, not only does the pattern and colour fit perfectly with the colours in the rest of the living room, the curtains also provide the perfect amount of transparency – enough to get the privacy our family needs in our living room, and the right amount of light shining through.
As a bonus I thought I’d also show you my brand new place mats, again from Ebay. I never thought I would fall for these but after seeing the trend on Pinterest, I bought myself a set – no regrets at all, I think they look great.
The plant is from Homesense.
Lovely home!
