If you fancy a bit of French/continental-style patisserie in London, there area few places I would recommend. The first one is Patisserie Valerie. Established in 1926 you can tell this place has retained its old-fashion style, and used it to its advantage. The cakes and pastries here are delicious but a little bit sweeter in taste than your average French patisserie so do bear this in mind.

Brunch (and cake!) at The Cornerstone Café
There’s a charming little café a few minutes away from where I live, called The Cornerstone café. Located in London’s historical Royal Arsenal (SE18) it offers a really unique and pleasant setting right in between the residential part of the Arsenal and Woolwich Town Center. Everything here is made from scratch.
