The art of patience and gratitude – We finally got our DFS Euphoria sofa


If you follow me on social media  You will know that for the past few months my family and I have been living with an unwanted sofa. I know this sounds very ungrateful, seeing as that sofa was brand new, comfortable and perfectly functional. But it was the wrong choice, the wrong colour and the wrong material… and I make no apology for initially sulking and feeling completely cheated by DFS online.

Lessons from an invisible enemy

I’ve been meaning to pen down my thoughts about the last couple of months but if I’m honest I haven’t found the words. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions and I’m still processing it all. Today is Sunday 3rd May 2020 and we’re about to enter another week of lockdown. As much as we’ve found a routine that works for my little family and haven’t really let the lockdown affect us negatively, there are atill certain things we have had to adapt to.

This month was our wedding anniversary month. On 07.07.07 my husband Rom and I said “I do” in front of our friends and family. I was relatively young, emotionally fragile, wearing a white dress I probably shouldn’t have gone for… but in love nonetheless and determined to spend the rest of my life with this man I had met two years prior. And from that moment on, our lives changed for better.
