I’ve been wanting to make carrot cake for a while, but it’s one of those cakes I wasn’t sure I could pull off. After looking up different recipes, I tried my own version a few times, tailored it to my own taste, got my husband to approve it and voilà!
We really enjoyed this cake, so I thought I’d share the recipe with you all.
If you fancy a bit of French/continental-style patisserie in London, there area few places I would recommend. The first one is Patisserie Valerie. Established in 1926 you can tell this place has retained its old-fashion style, and used it to its advantage. The cakes and pastries here are delicious but a little bit sweeter in taste than your average French patisserie so do bear this in mind.
